For this week’s #FeatureFriday, we wanted to give you a peak into the developments going on behind closed doors and the talented people who make them possible.  We’re always focused on improving our customer service and we strive to engrain that philosophy of continuous improvement into everything we do. With that in mind, we’ve made it our mission to expand our Account Management team, though finding the right men and women for the task is no small order!

Here at LDL Components, we like to do things differently (hopefully for the better!). That means we don’t want to bring someone into our team unless we’re sure they’ve got the enthusiasm, the knowledge, and the customer service skills to adhere to our high standards. We want you to have confidence in the voice on the other end of the phone, secure in the knowledge that we won’t let you down. It’s that dedication to excellence that makes it such a difficult position to fill. That's why we run 3 weekly training sessions, to contiously hone our team's Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom knowledge!

Training

That’s where Oliver comes in! He’s a character many of our customers will already recognise as, in his role as one our resident Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom experts; he’s been wowing customers on our Sales Administration team for some 18 months already. With such a stellar record and having already forged a relationship with many of our customers, we thought he’d make the perfect addition to complement the strengths our Account Management team.

Without further ado, let’s jump into our interview with the man himself!

So Oliver, how long have you been with LDL Components?

“For exactly 18 months this Monday.”

And how have you found working here?

“We’re a real community. With everyone here, it feels like we’ve known each other forever!”

He went on to say. “There’s a lot of mutual respect, and you can feel that from the second you step through the door.”

So, transferring from Sales Administration to Account Management. What do you think your experience in Sales Administration brings to the role?

“Product knowledge. I know 99% of our range and it’s that general knowledge that gives our customers confidence in us.”

You’re now Account Manager for the South East; how’s the new role treating you?

“We’re one week in and its new and interesting. Its good to get to know the customers, not just what they need, but why they need it. It’s in-depth, more much more personable, and I’m excited for the future.”

And finally, what’s your favourite thing about LDL?

“Community. Did I already say that? It’s the truth, we’re a little family!”

We couldn’t have put it better ourselves. I’m sure you’ll all join us in congratulating Oliver on his new position and wishing him well in this exciting new adventure. For many of you, you’ll know him already from his time in Sales Administration, though if you haven’t had the pleasure, I’m sure he’ll be quick to make introductions in his new role as Account Manager for the South East. We’d like to leave you with a final word from the man himself.

When we asked, Why should someone choose LDL Components?

Oliver had this to say:

“Because of the service level we provide. With our new design room, our online library, and all the support we offer, we give you access to exactly what you need when you need it. We aren’t a company that just expects you to know. With us, it’s all about making it easy for the customer.”
