Team LDL

It’s international women’s day, and what better way to celebrate than by taking this #FeatureFriday as an opportunity to highlight all the hard work from the wonderful women of LDL!
We work in a very male dominated industry, but here at LDL we take pride in the fact that we like to do things a little differently. From Accounts, to Sales, to Purchasing and Business Development, we’ve hired women in a variety of integral roles throughout the company and its safe to say they’re giving the boys a run for their money.
Exactly 50% of our office staff are women, which is a very anomalous result by industry standards. We’ve always been very dedicated to providing an open and friendly working environment, and it’s with great pride we note that our inclusiveness has attracted a sizeable feminine following. We must be doing something right!

Our Head of Sales Administration & Customer Service, Jessica, had this to say; ““The KBB industry is a very male orientated world and even in this day and age we are still faced with the challenge of not being seen as 'capable'. Without the ladies in my team, LDL simply wouldn’t be the same place. We all play an integral part in keeping our business successful and for that I am extremely proud. I want to wish everyone a happy International Women’s Day!”
Diversity is important in every walk of life, nowhere more so than in the workplace. That’s why it’s fantastic to see such intelligent and successful women bucking the trend to take up the mantle of the Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom industry. With years of experience in everything kitchen related, from logistics, to technical, they’re our resident KBB experts. It’s that copious breadth of knowledge which allows you, the customer, to have confidence in the voice on the other end of the phone. Between our thrice weekly training sessions and our already more than competent sales team, we can offer a simply unmatched level of customer service. That’s because we don’t want to be the biggest, but we’re dedicated to being the best.
2018 was a record-breaking year for LDL and that’s, in no small degree, due to the contribution of the women who help put that little bit of magic into everything we do. With over £330,000 of investment going back into the business, and an unprecedented increase to our office team, we’ve expanded the LDL family and taken on even more female staff members!
Our latest recruit, Leonie, joined our sales team in the close of 2018. She had this to say, “As a woman, being loved and appreciated is so important to me, and from the moment I walked through the doors of LDL I felt just that! Loved and appreciated. I am a very passionate person who has always believed that if you put a lot of love and hard work into everything you do in life you will succeed! I am so grateful to work with a team of strong, hard working men and women who treat themselves and their customers with respect,  who greet everyone who enters the building with a smile and genuine warmth. For me, a woman’s place is definitely in the kitchen…. Industry.”

International Women's Day
I’m sure you’ll all join with us in celebrating the myriad of accomplishments from women throughout, and beyond our industry, on this auspicious day. It’s important to share and promote success stories where we find them, and no place is that more true then when we talk of diversity and the empowerment of women. The future of the Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom industry is bright, and with your continued support, LDL can continue to be a bastion of diversity and an instrument for change. Together, we can build a better tomorrow.
Happy International Women’s Day!
